Madrid!
I can’t believe my weekend in Madrid with my luvs has been and gone…after so long of being excited about it, it absolutely flew by! I loved every minute of it though! I got to go to a typical Spanish bar when I first got there on Thursday night which was really cool and then Friday I explored Madrid. It wasn’t how I expected it to be but it’s a really beautiful city, even better than I imagined! Then we got some beers and some food and chilled out in the afternoon, got to visit Cris’ house and parents, who are really canny and then out for a drink on the night. The Spanish drink measures are mint…they just keep pouring the alcohol until you say stop! Me gusta!
On Saturday we went to a really gorgeous park and then for dinner with Carmen’s family. It was really nice to spend some time with them and they’re the sweetest! I want to adopt them :P Then Carmen and I went for a walk around the city but it ended up turning into a drive around the city!! It was so funny! We seen some little cars for hire and it looked so fun so we booked one for the evening and went driving round Madrid!! I was so nervous to be driving on the opposite side of the road and not having a clue how the Spanish roads work! Good job Carmen was such a good co-pilot! Especially when our car cut out three times and we almost ended up rolling backwards down one of the busiest streets! I don’t know how I didn’t wet myself laughing but it was hilarious! We were absolutely shattered after being out all day but it was fiesta time on the night! I got to meet Cris’ friends who are actually amazing, they’re so funny and a really lovely bunch and we went to a club called Zoologico which is sooo good! It even beats my favourite, Digital! We were out until six this morning so we were all pretty tired after the eventful night but it was amazing :D I was proper gutted to leave today but it won’t be the last time I’m there I hope!
The weather was perfect, everything we did was perfect and the company was perfect. We laughed, obviously…we cried…again and we had the bestest time!! Madrid is awesome :D
Today’s words of wisdom: when you’re lucky enough to find people who make you happy and who you can be your total self around and when you’re with them, any problems or stuff on your mind seems to just go away and people who mean a lot to you, let them know. Carmen and Cris, we always have so much fun when we’re together and just wanted to say thanks for making this weekend in Madrid maravillosa! I know you’re in the middle of exams right now so I appreciate it so much that you made time for my visit! I hope the rest of them go alright by the way, you’ll do great! It was really nice to see your city, meet your lovely families and you’re craaaazy but lovely friends (you gotta bring them to England! :P) and of course finally got to see you putas again after so long of missing you!! Hopefully I will see you again soon…you wimpy mother fuckers! ♥
